I had a Jack Lalanne model first. I burned it up juicing prickly pears the second year we had it. So I looked around for a heavy duty juicer. I used this baby and I could tell the first time I used it that this was the real McCoy. I love it, but time will tell how well it holds up.

I love my new Breville 800 juicer. I had an old Acme prior that got full fast and was hard to clean. It also vibrated accross the counter. The Breville is awesome. It is powerful(the motor is twice the rpm of my old acme) and whole apples, beets...fit in the top which minimizes any cutting up prior. The juice is great and it is easy to clean, comes apart quick and easy back together. I did some research before and considered an auger type juicer. I went with the Breville because of its easy of use and am glad I did. The best juicer is one you use everyday and I do use it everyday! Its just as easy as the youtube video.

SATISFACTION:
I bought this after having returned my Breville Ikon to a local retailer because CA tax made it too much. I still think I like many things about the Ikon much better, such as the size, design and multiple speeds. Yet the Elite 800's stainless steel parts, the powerful motor and the lower [reconditioned] price all work to make me happy with this fine juicer.
CONDITION:
Mine arrived in pretty much as good as new condition except for a bit of minor scuffing on the plastics. It was likely a return from the typical family who just throws stuff in the washer one thing on top of the other. You need to look for the flaws to really notice them, but that's the way I am. However, for the price I'll live with it just fine.
IKON VS. ELITE NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE:
When you put things into the Ikon, you can feel the blades slowing on a sizeable load. When you feed the Elite's chute, vegetables and fruits are effortlessly juiced, they seem to just get eaten away as the pusher goes down - the powerful Elite motor really does some serious shredding.
SUMMARY:
I'm very happy with my Juice Fountain Elite!

Got this juicer (refurb) in 'Todays Deal' for $150. Well worth the money. I relied on the +ve reviews left by others here. Have been using for few weeks now and i would say pretty satisfied. Cleaning is fairly easy. Parts are dishwasher safe. The only reason i took off 1 star is that the pulp is thrown over the inside of the lid that covers the waste basket (and not inside the basket). Not a big deal but still some incovenience. Overall as great buy. My fav juice is 2 pears + 1 banana.

I am very satisfied with this juicer. The juices I have made have been delicious and as long as you listen to the recommendations about cleaning immediately, it is not difficult to clean, just bulky and clumsy. If it was not so heavy and difficult to store I would have given it 5 stars
